Physis Gaia Project | A magical night in the city park

A unique night was experienced on Saturday at the Areos Field, with the Physis Gaia Project, in a magical landscape in our favorite park of the city. Evridiki and Ada Athanasopoulou sang unique songs and got the audience going!

 

The 1st Gaia Attica Festival 2023 | Nea Thesmoforia in Pedion tou Areos welcomed us on Saturday 23rd of September in a unique musical and entertaining narrative. In the lush green atrium “Aries” of the Athens Metropolitan Park we met the beloved voice of Evridiki and Ada Athanasopoulou, Camerata Junior, music producer Yannis Kastanakis, Chrysa Roma and Vassilis Michas.

In the first part we enjoyed a multidisciplinary theatrical narrative entitled “The Mythical Melodies of the Rivers – The Journey of the Ilisos” narrated by Vassilis Michas and Chrysa Roma, accompanied by the Camerata Junior of the Association “Friends of Music” and more than 25 young musicians. With an excellent combination of sound, music, images and atmospheric lighting, we enjoyed the texts of Efi Panagopoulou and learned the history of the Ilisos River, the sacred river that hosted the Nymphs of Antiquity. A project under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. Aristea Tsichli was the musical director.

Later, a concert with Evridiki followed, accompanied by Ada Athanasopoulou in a modern, dynamic program with songs from Greece and around the world.

A few words about Camerata Junior

The Camerata Junior of the Association “Friends of Music”, which is the Orchestra in residence of the Athens Concert Hall, consists of 60 young people aged 8-25 years old. Membership is free of charge and the lessons are hosted at the Athens Concert Hall, where the Orchestra holds its annual spring concert. Since October 2018, the orchestra’s teacher and conductor has been taken over by the distinguished conductor Nikos Chaliassas.
