New Thesmoforia

A celebration of the Attica Land, a meeting point between culture, tourism and the primary sector, is being held in Attica, by the Development Institution “New Metropolitan Attica S.A.”, on the initiative of the Region of Attica, under the auspices of the Hellenic Tourism Organization.

With a focus on community empowerment and sustainable development, the Festival brings together locals and visitors in a harmonious celebration of Attica Earth’s past, present and future.

Commencing with the promotion of New Thesmoforia, the Attica Gaia Festival 2023,  the aim of which is to bring together in an engaging proposition all the elements that make Attica unique; its land and products, its natural environment and the rich history and cultural heritage it possesses.

Thanks to innovative activities, traditional events and modern digital experiences, the “Attica Gaia Festival | New Thesmoforia ” will be a driving force in the promotion of the best of Attica to the world.

From 16^th  to 24^th  September, we invite you to take part in 7 unique events all sharing the common theme of the culture and the fertile land of Attica.

These events comprise experiential educational workshops at  Antonis Tritsis Park;  traditional dances at the Drapetsona Fertilizers Multifunctional Event venue Hall in the Municipality of Keratsini-Drapetsona; musical and theatrical  performances at the Attica Grove Theatre “Katina Paxinou”, as well as a number of gastronomic occasions and modern mixologist tasting experiences, highlighting the culinary wealth of Attica  and the significant culural role it plays.
